Everyday Racism

Today, I bring you a couple of examples of the racism that I see all the time.

#1 – While at a family wedding over the weekend, my wife’s racist uncle was reminiscing about a vacation to Jamaica.  Everything seems normal, until he says, “If I had to live among blacks… those would be the ones.”

#2 – A commenter on a conservative friend’s post about not understanding why women were marching… “I didn’t throw out racial slurs while Obama was in office. I sucked it up, for 8 LONG years. Some negativity while Obama was in office does not justify what is happening now.”  Some negativity?!?!  She “sucked it up” and didn’t throw out racial slurs while Obama was in office?!?  The sad part is that she doesn’t even see how racist that statement was.  SMH.
